Oswego Lake Watershed Council Privacy Policy

Oswego Lake Watershed Council (OLWC) knows that you care about how your information is used and shared, and we appreciate that you trust us to do so sensibly and carefully. Our privacy policy is described below. By signing up for our mailing list, registering for an event, or donating online, you are accepting the practices described in this policy.

We use your contact information primarily for communications purposes. We will never sell your information to a third party, and we will never give your information to a third party for use without your permission. Your privacy is a priority.

What Personal Information Does the Oswego Lake Watershed Council Gather?
Information you give us. We receive and store any information you provide via our website or any other way. This includes signing up for our email list, registering for an event, or making a donation. Our registration require individuals and organizations to provide  information that may include name, email address, address, focus areas, and similar information. We may use non-identifying basic information (aggregate data) for use in annual or member/sector reports.

Supporter names may be acknowledged on our website and in some reports. If you do not want
your name shared, please email allie@oswegowatershed.org.

OLWC’s website (www.oswegowatershed.org) logs visitors using web browser cookies and uses Google Analytics for statistical tracking. This information is used for internal purposes only and is not shared. Our donation page does not store your credit card information.

Electronic Communications
We distribute electronic communications, which include relevant information to the watershed, such as event alerts, newsletters, job and community announcements, and other similar information. Depending on your preferences, we distribute communications that announce our trainings.

Occasionally, we send announcements and alerts to segmented portions of our mailing lists. You may subscribe, unsubscribe, or manage your preferences at any time. To manage your subscription or unsubscribe from our e-mail lists click the links conveniently located at the end of our e-mails directing you to our safe email list manager on Mailchimp. You may also send an e-mail to allie@oswegowatershed.org requesting any subscription changes.

Social Media and Comments
Oswego Lake Watershed Council uses social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to engage our constituents in dialogue. On these networks, we abide by the terms and conditions of those websites/services, and OLWC reserves the right to use those networks for promotion purposes. In some cases, comments made on OLWC’s social media communications are reviewed and published at our discretion. OLWC reserves the right to edit, moderate, and re-use comments for OLWC promotional materials. Promotions and advertising are not permitted in this medium, nor is derogatory or hateful speech.

Conditions of Use and Revisions
Changing practices and circumstances may require OLWC make changes to this privacy policy from time to time. OLWC reserves the right to change this policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected on this website.
